George E. Stuart had an awsome eduaction for an archaelogist in his early life. He had the good fortune of studying with Lewis H. Larson, Jr., almost mythical archaelogist who studied the legendary Indian sites at Etowah in Georgia. This site went by "mounds" and the uncovering and exploration of "Mound C" must have been astounding. His career began in 1954 when he began working with George E. Stuart of the University of Georgia at the Mulberry site. This archaelogical work unearthed some of the finest discoveries in southeastern archaelogy.
